Due to logging of heads between the director and producer, the making of sentimental-scripted-movie ‘Maa’ is lurking in the dark. The shooting which had kick started in the year 2008 is directed by Sabapathy, part of the film has already been canned in the holy locale of Rameswaram. As of now the director has given a break for the making of the movie because of an issue with the producer; but confirmed that he won’t shelf the movie. Since then he has been concentrating his efforts on his another movie, ‘16’.

The movie ‘Maa’ includes Bhoomika Chawla, Srikanth and Prithviraj. As the title denotes, the story evolves around an emotional relationship between a mother and a daughter.

Working behind the screen is Yuvan Shankar Raja for music and camera by Paneer Selvam. The sweet and charming Bhoomika is back in the acting industry since her marriage. Sources said that the actress was so much impressed with the story that she had agreed to do the movie when she heard it few years back.
